Sponsored Kenyan Nurses Complete Nurse Leadership Program
Palm Springs, CA, USA (January 24, 2025) – The Health Carousel Foundation is proud to announce the graduation of two influential Kenyan nurse leaders from the Coldiron Senior Nurse Executive Fellowship. A grant from the Health Carousel Foundation made their participation in this year-long program possible. In related news, Donita Ross (MSN, RN, NE BC, CGNC), ACNO, and VP Health Carousel International also became a Coldiron graduate, and two sponsored Filipino nurse leaders began the year-long program.

The Coldiron program is a collaboration between the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy, the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, the American Nurses Association, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. This partnership brings together some of the most respected and influential organizations in healthcare, nursing, and organizational behavior, providing participants with access to a wealth of resources and expertise including individual executive coaching sessions.
As a Coldiron graduate and a committed lifelong learner, I am incredibly proud of the Foundation's support of the Coldiron program. I know firsthand that this program unlocks actionable solutions to improve nursing that will stand the test of time. It's critical to invest in developing high-powered leaders such as Donita, Eunice, and Judith so that these leaders go forth and support the future of nursing leadership. They will surely apply what they have learned and experienced to improve the science of nursing practice in Kenya and the broader global nursing community they serve.
