While in Uganda, Andrew and Earl toured UNMU offices and the Foundation-sponsored nurse training lab within, met with Celestino Obua, the current Vice Chancellor of Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), attended the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union Annual Scientific Conference, participated in the National Nurses Day Celebration, and toured Uganda Heart Institute.

In her address, the Vice President hailed nurses and midwives as formidable forces in ensuring that the sick are cared for until their health is restored. The Vice President also participated in the presentation of DAISY Awards to four extraordinary nurses.
